Kim and Dan's Home Away from Home

This web site is primarily for the benefit of our families, friends, and associates, to help us keep in closer contact with each other. And it's our little corner of the WWW, a way to jump on the bandwagon of interacting with people, known personally to us and otherwise, around the U.S. and the world. Dan and I live in Portsmouth, Virginia, in a historic district built around the turn of the century. We, along with many of our neighbors, are renovating our old house in our spare time. Portsmouth is a city of about 100,000 but it has an authentic small-town atmosphere that you can't miss. That's one reason we like it here so much, even with the heat and humidity over the summer. But you can bet we don't miss Michigan winters (that's where we both grew up).

So think of this first page as our porch, the kind that stretches across the front of the house and welcomes strolling neighbors in to say hey. Then come on in and make yourself at home. Y'all come back now, y'hear? ;-)
