Kim's Busy Life - Grin and Bear It

Work - I am the Electronic Media Specialist (aka Webmaster) at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. This version went live July 1, 1999.

I am also a free-lance web site designer in my spare time (of which I don't have much much these days :-) And I'm expanding my knowledge of graphics for the web, and CGI and JavaScript scripting, at the online Ziff-Davis University.

I have developed a strong interest in alternative medicine - not in trying it, but in becoming well-informed about it and trying to inform others about its dangers, as well as possible benefits.

South Hampton Roads User Group (SHRUG) - I am the Secretary and Umbrella Reporter for this local computer user group, which means I take meeting notes and write a monthly article from the notes for the Umbrella newsletter. For a while, I was the Librarian and I and have given presentations on topics like WordPerfect, graphics, using a scanner, and the Internet. Here are some columns I have written for the Umbrella newsletter.

The Umbrella Group is an association of several computer user groups in the Tidewater, Virginia area, including SHRUG. Here is a link to Back Issues of the monthly Umbrella newsletter.

I am also a member and Webmaster and Newsletter Editor for the League of Women Voters of South Hampton Roads, and Webmaster for the League of Women Voters of Virginia.

Dan's Busy Life - Whatcha gonna do...

Work - Dan teaches Earth Science, Oceanography, and Meteorology and is the girls' varsity soccer coach at Wilson High School in Portsmouth, VA. During the summer, he is a Sea Camp instructor, a day camp organized by Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

I will come back to this later ... Dan says I have been at it long enough ;-)
