This is the entrance gate to the Topkapi Palace, right down the street from our hotel. Mom and I walked around for an hour or so. In a small bazaar, she bought some bowls, a book about Istanbul, and some postcards. We fended off lots of street sellers. Mom wanted to get something to eat at a restaurant in the bazaar, but I was nervous about the food quality, so we decided to go back to the hotel and get a recommendation from the manager.
