Aunt Linda gave me a bag of
photo negatives after Grandma's memorial service; these are some of them. Click on

<-- This is my Dad, Dennis Hoffman, on the left, with
Grandpa Hoffman in the middle and Dad's older brother George on the right, around 1946.
Anyone know the occasion?
--> That's Grandma Doris Vogel Hoffman on
the left, holding George Edwin, and pregnant with Foster. Her father Edwin H. Vogel, is in
the middle and her grandfather, Frederick H. Vogel, aka Little Grandpa, is on the right.
1936
<-- Doris Vogel Hoffman
with (Linda thinks) Dennis Vogel Hoffman, in 1940. She would have been about 25.
--> Doris Hoffman and her three sons,
George, Dennis, and Foster (l-r). Does anyone know the occasion or the boat? Linda thinks
it's 1946 or 1947.
<-- This is George Edwin
Hoffman graduating from Monroe High School, Monroe, MI, in June 1954.
--> If you're in the Hoffman family, you
know right away who this is :-) Isn't she cute? Linda Beth Hoffman, age 5, on her
bicycle that her parents bought second-hand and her big brother Dennis painted bright
yellow for her.
<-- Now this *is* the Joy, I
can tell from the name on the back of the boat :-D And that's Grandpa Robert Hoffman on
the left with his father-in-law Edwin Vogel on the right. The kid in the middle is Edwin's
younger son Robert, aka Bob, Doris' younger brother. What did they catch?
--> For 30 years, Doris and Bob Hoffman had
birthday dinners with two other couples whose birthdays were pretty close together. This
is one of those couples, Lloyd and Ruth Monhollen of Belleville, MI.
<-- Really cute couple of
kids! That's Foster Hoffman on the left and George Hoffman on the right.
