In the Garden: Greens

I just finished the latest one, and already I can’t wait for next month’s Grow Your Own food blogging event. I have a couple of weeks to come up with a great recipe for using the Swiss chard and various lettuces in the garden right now. We also have string beans and peas coming up, but those won’t be ready till May.

    Oh, I wish it were warm enough to start the outdoor garden. Hopefully in a few weeks! Temps are still dipping down into the 30s and even the 20s some nights.

    Hi, Andrea. Well, there are always trade-offs :-) You have the great cultural opportunities in D.C., we have the long growing season. This has been a pretty nice spring, though. Mid-70s today.
