I came back to check this link again because I'm very interested. When I don't have time for my butter to get soft I use Utterly Butterly but it does not taste the same like real butter.
I will get one of those when I find it in the shop here in UK.

		<description>Have you seen the butter crocks where the butter sits upside-down in the lid, and you fill the basin with water?  Those are interesting... supposedly the water keeps a seal around the butter and allows you to keep the butter at room temp without spoilage.</description>
