Butter Crock
October 5th, 2007

I’ve been thinking about getting a butter crock for a while now. And since I’ve recently developed a hankering for herb butter, and had some honey butter at a restaurant recently, I want one even more. So I’ve been checking them out and will probably get one soon. So this is a placeholder for some links about the topic.

Hi, Margot, thanks for stopping by :-) It does seem like a worthwhile investment, doesn’t it?

Have you seen the butter crocks where the butter sits upside-down in the lid, and you fill the basin with water? Those are interesting… supposedly the water keeps a seal around the butter and allows you to keep the butter at room temp without spoilage.

    Hi again,

I came back to check this link again because I’m very interested. When I don’t have time for my butter to get soft I use Utterly Butterly but it does not taste the same like real butter.
I will get one of those when I find it in the shop here in UK.

Thank you for sharing this idea!
